Louisa Mei is seven years old today! I can't believe it. She is tall and beautiful and still goofy as all get out, but her sister was at that age and she's grown into a very reserved and sweet young lady so here's hoping. The Plague and Other Fun TimesSubmitted by Lynn on Tue, 04/01/2008 - 09:44.
Have you gotten the Great Respiratory Virus of 2008? Oy! I'm still coughing. It wasn't the flu I had, it was this respiratory bug. It tore through the house--first me, then Josie, then John, then mildly, Lou. Lou got it the least, Josie and I got it the worst (toss-up who had it worse, we were both in bed with fever and chills for days). OH HAI! I HAS A FLU BUG!Submitted by Lynn on Wed, 03/12/2008 - 22:10.

Obama HQ is just a couple of blocks away from OMI HQ, and so we've been watching with amusement as the ENG trucks and news vans have been circling the block looking for parking. One guy in an unmarked ENG truck was having such troubles with parking that Cablenut and I sat down with our coffees and watched him for a bit out in front of Pallino. Anyway, the oldest Nutling volunteers at Obama HQ. If you see a very pretty, very young volunteer (possibly in an orange bucket hat), stop and say hi. This is your Obama visit open thread. Keep other topics in other open threads. kthxbye. SE PDX: Lynn's FeedJeff Merkley gets itSubmitted by Lynn on Mon, 08/20/2007 - 22:27.
At least someone among the Democrats understands what the people want: Accountability--and NOW, not next month or God forbid next political cycle. Jeff Merkley, who's running for the chance to take on Gordon Smith in 2008, has come out in favor of impeaching Alberto Gonzales. As Ridenbaugh Press points out, this is practically the moderate position now, at least in Oregon: Jeff Merkley gets itSubmitted by Lynn on Mon, 08/20/2007 - 22:27.
